Hire Me — Support
Everything you can do yourself, and how to reach a human when you cannot.
1 Contact support
Email support for the Hire Me app:
Hire Me is built and run by one developer, so replies are not instant. To get a useful answer on the first reply, include:
- what you were trying to do, and what happened instead;
- the screen you were on and the exact wording of any error message;
- your device model and iOS version;
- the request id, if the app showed you one with an error — it lets us find the exact failure in the logs;
- the email address associated with your account, if you know it — it may be an Apple private relay address if you chose to hide your email when signing in.
Please do not send your CV or any other document unless we specifically ask for it, and never send passwords or payment details. Support never needs them.
2 Delete your account and your data
You can do this yourself, in the app, at any time:
- Open Hire Me and open Settings.
- Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Delete account and data, then confirm on the panel that appears.
Deleting your account removes your profile, your uploaded CVs and the content extracted from them, your scores, your match and application history, and your session tokens, and asks Apple to revoke this app's Sign in with Apple token so it no longer has any link to your Apple account. If Apple cannot be reached, your data is still deleted, and you can remove Hire Me yourself under Apple ID settings, Sign in with Apple.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Apple, not the app, holds the subscription — cancel it separately in your Apple account settings, as described below. If you delete the account while a subscription is still active, Apple keeps billing it until you cancel.
What is retained after deletion, and for how long, is described in the Privacy Policy.
3 Manage or cancel a subscription
Pro and Max are auto-renewing subscriptions sold by Apple. They are managed in your Apple account settings, not inside Hire Me — the app has no way to cancel them for you. On your iPhone or iPad:
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Hire Me, then choose a different plan or tap Cancel Subscription.
The app has a shortcut to the same place: Settings → Subscription has a Manage or cancel in the App Store row that opens your Apple subscription settings for you.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. After cancelling, paid features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account returns to the free plan. Monthly allowances reset each billing period and do not carry over.
4 Restore a purchase
If you paid but the app still shows the free plan — for example on a new device — open Settings → Subscription, tap your plan to open the Plans screen, and tap Restore purchases. That asks Apple for your purchase history and re-applies your plan. If it still does not appear, email support with the date of purchase and the Apple account you used.
5 Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policy, and we cannot issue them. Request one through Apple's "Report a Problem" service for your purchase history, or from Apple Support directly. If a refund request is about something the app got wrong, tell us as well so we can fix it.
6 AI consent
CV improvement suggestions use an external AI provider and need a separate consent that is distinct from accepting the terms. You control it under Settings → Consents, on the AI processing of your CV card, with Agree and Withdraw. Declining or withdrawing it leaves CV scoring and job matching fully working; only the AI improvement feature becomes unavailable, and nothing is sent to the provider. The provider and what is sent are named in the Privacy Policy.
7 Common questions
I cannot sign in.
Sign in with Apple is the only sign-in method — there is no password to reset. Check that you are signed in to your Apple account on the device and that you have a working connection, then try again. Signing in on a website or desktop browser is not supported.
My CV will not upload.
Hire Me accepts PDF and Word (DOCX) files. A scanned image saved as a PDF has no text to read, so export a text-based PDF from your word processor instead. Password-protected files cannot be opened. If the file is unusually large, try removing embedded images.
The app read something in my CV incorrectly.
Every field extracted from your CV is shown to you and can be corrected in the app; extraction is never assumed to be right. If a whole section was misread, tell support which section and which file format you used.
An improvement suggestion added something I never wrote.
Reject it, and report it to support. Suggestions are only allowed to rephrase and reorganise what you wrote. Never accept a suggestion that adds a qualification, employer, date or achievement you do not have — you are responsible for what you send to an employer.
There are few or no jobs for my country.
Coverage depends on which job sources serve that market, and the app shows you the coverage level for your selection before you rely on it. Broadening your role keywords, seniority or remote preference usually helps. We would rather show you an honest coverage warning than a padded list.
A job listing was closed or looked fake.
Listings come from third-party job APIs and public employer job boards, and each one shows its source and when it was last checked. Report a bad listing to support with its source and title and we will look at whether the source should stay enabled.
Did the app apply to a job for me?
No. This version never sends an email or an application on your behalf and never contacts an employer for you. Applying opens the employer's own official application page, where you complete the application yourself. Anything the app records is your own note that you applied.
I hit my monthly limit.
Allowances reset at the start of each billing period. A paid plan raises them; the plans are summarised on the home page and in the Terms of Use.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Your profile, CV versions, scores and application history are all viewable in the app. There is no one-tap export yet, so if you need a portable copy, or something you cannot see in the app, email support and describe what you need — see your rights in the Privacy Policy.
8 What support cannot do
- Cancel your subscription or issue a refund — both belong to Apple, and the steps are above.
- Contact an employer, chase an application, or influence a hiring decision.
- Guarantee an interview or a job. The CV score is a tool for improving your document, not a prediction of your prospects.
- Recover a deleted account. Deletion removes the records and the files themselves and there is no undo — what that means exactly, including for anything still sitting in an operational backup or a rotating server log at the moment you delete, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
- Ask you for your password or payment details. If a message claiming to be from Hire Me asks for either, it is not from us.
